Child Safety Standards

Effective date: October 9, 2026

These standards apply to the Vybe and Slingshot apps and the vybe.social website, all published by Vybe sp. z o.o.. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, and we work to keep it off our services.

Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) means content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means any visual depiction, including photos, videos and computer-generated or AI-generated imagery, of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

On Vybe and Slingshot, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • creating, sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM in any form;
  • grooming: building a relationship with a minor in order to sexually abuse or exploit them;
  • sextortion: threatening to share intimate images of a minor, or coercing a minor into sending them;
  • trafficking or offering a minor for sexual purposes;
  • sexualising minors, including sexual comments about or roleplay involving minors;
  • arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes.

These rules apply to profiles, photos, videos, messages, events and any other content, and to behaviour that starts on our services and continues elsewhere.

How Slingshot connects people

Slingshot is not a random or anonymous chat app:

  • Every user has a registered profile with their name, date of birth and a profile picture.
  • Matches are made between people in similar age groups, based on shared interests, how similar their prompts are, and their filters.
  • Before chatting, each person sees the other's profile and their city and district (never an exact position or distance) and chooses to accept or skip. A chat opens only if both accept.
  • Either person can disconnect at any time, and report or block the other person.

Age requirements

Vybe and Slingshot are only for people aged 16 and over. Users must give their date of birth when they sign up, and we block anyone under 16. If we find an account that belongs to someone under 16, we close it.

How to report

You can report a concern without leaving the app:

In Vybe

  1. Open the profile, message or event you want to report.
  2. Open the options menu and choose "Report".
  3. Select the reason that best fits, such as child safety, and submit.

In Slingshot

  1. Tap "Report" on a match before accepting it, or tap "Report" on a chat after it ends. You can block the person at either point too.
  2. Choose the reason that best fits, such as child safety.
  3. Optionally, add a message describing what happened.
  4. Submit the report.

In both apps you can also block a user so they can no longer contact you. You can report by email at csam@vybe.social as well, and you do not have to give your name when reporting CSAM.

If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency number 112 first. You can also report illegal content to Dyżurnet.pl (Poland) or the NCMEC CyberTipline. Young people in Poland can get confidential help at the 116 111 helpline.

How we respond

  • Our human moderators review child safety reports with the highest priority.
  • In Slingshot, reported profiles and conversations are analysed immediately by automated moderation using Google's Gemini AI, so we can respond quickly, and are then reviewed by our moderators.
  • We remove CSAM and other violating content as soon as we become aware of it.
  • We permanently ban the accounts involved and work to stop them from returning.
  • We preserve relevant evidence and report CSAM and child exploitation to the competent authorities, including the Polish Police, Dyżurnet.pl and, where applicable, NCMEC.
  • We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

How we prevent harm

  • a minimum age of 16 with a date of birth check at signup;
  • in-app reporting and blocking in every app;
  • moderation of reported profiles, messages and media;
  • in Slingshot: registered profiles for every user, matches between people in similar age groups, an accept-or-skip step before any chat starts, and location shown only as city and district so nobody can pinpoint where a user is;
  • clear rules in our terms (Vybe Terms, Slingshot Terms) that we enforce with account bans.

Safety tips for Slingshot users

  • Never share personal details such as your address, phone number or school.
  • Never send intimate photos, and never agree to move the chat to another app.
  • If anything feels wrong, disconnect immediately and report the person.

Child safety point of contact
